Welcome to the website for the award-winning Pirate Marching Band!

The Pirate Marching Band performs at all High School football games and participates in competitions throughout New Jersey in the fall. The PMB performs in several parades and at community events in the spring.

For the last five years, the Pirate Marching Band performed at the USSBA National Championship, consistently placing within the top ten of its division.

The band is supported by the High School administration and an active group of parent volunteers.

Any High School student is welcome to the join. Whether you play a brass instrument, percussion, are in an orchestra, or dance, there is a spot for you in the band or color guard. In return, you must be committed to attend band camp, all rehearsals and performances.

The hard work pays off! As a member of a nationally recognized band, you will experience first hand what "Pirate Pride" means - friendship, fun, and opportunities! Our freshman Pirates begin High School with an instant group of friends - and our senior Pirates say being in the band was the highlight of their time at High School South.
